I have worked with many wedding vendors before but one stands out to me because she shares my ideals on being unique. I always want my photography to stand out from the ordinary and I find that Jessica’s jewelry does the same thing. Jess Yam is a New York City based fashion and jewelry designer, born and raised in Queens, NY. She attended and graduated from Parsons School of Design with a degree in Fashion Design. She was a student under Tim Gunn, from Project Runway and was part of his first graduating class. Her career began as a designer for the Gap in their knit and woven newborn line and continued with a position at JCrew designing and sourcing their yarn development for their signature sweater line. This led to a passion to design and create her own original pieces of jewelry.
Being a new bride herself Jess understand and relates to brides who want something different with an original touch for their wedding. She creates traditional yet modern wedding pieces that are diverse for any age or wedding. Jess meets with the bride to get an idea of the brides’ inspiration, theme, and wedding. Then works with the bride to create a one of a kind piece or pieces for the bride & the bridal party to wear on that special day. This helps keep a cohesive wedding theme & still gives the bridesmaids their true identity & style. The jewelry makes a great bridesmaids gift and the best thing is, the jewelry is modern and can be worn again in your everyday wardrobe.
